Karl Gary had the pleasure of photographing the Harley family. Little David is just a couple months older than Karl’s daughter Emerson and they had a great time playing together after the shoot. We were thrilled to get the Harley’s holiday card in the mail a couple weeks later and see that they chose the picture below of David for the cover.
Karl Gary was asked to be the staff photographer for the launch of the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation, a national, multi-year effort designed to help reduce obesity – especially childhood obesity – by 2015. The Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation will promote ways to help people achieve a healthy weight through energy balance. It focuses on three critical areas – the marketplace, the workplace and schools. Over 40 retailers such as PepsiCo, General Mills, Inc., Nestle USA and The Coca-Cola Company joined forces and attended this launch.
The event took place at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. Karl’s photographs from this event will be used on the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation’s Web site as well in many of their marketing and press materials.
Karl Gary Photography was thrilled to be asked to photograph another event for the Neveleff family – this time the 60th wedding anniversary for Lora and “Nev” Neveleff.
Lora and Nev are an incredibly loving, giving couple with a wonderful extended family. Their daugher in law organized the event, a granddaughter baked and decorated the cake and the party was attended by dozens of family members and dear life-long friends and neighbors. It was a beautiful and fun reception at Bosell Hall in Bowie, Maryland.
We had a blast at Brendan and Nicole’s Baltimore wedding! The ceremony took place at Holy Trinity Church in Glen Burnie, and they had their reception at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. It was a gorgeous day – not a cloud in the sky, but surprisingly comfortable for an August Saturday in Maryland.
Brendan and Nicole both come from close-knit families; it was great to see so many siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews in the wedding party and there to share in all the family traditions before the ceremony and at the reception.
Karl got to experience a traditional “Girls Only” event when he had the opportunity to photograph Shelly’s bridal shower. He was able to capture all the moments and some of the guests didn’t even realize that there was a man at the party!
It was a beautiful event at her matron of honor’s house and the bride-to-be was positively glowing while being surrounded by her family and friends. We look forward to photographing Mike and Shelly’s rehearsal dinner in early September.
A beautiful couple and a beautiful day. Vince and Shaleigh tied the knot in Downtown Annapolis at the end of June. It was a sweet and romantic small affair and the couple was surrounded by only their closest friends and family. The couple plans on renewing their vows in less than a month in Mexico.
